Barney Heath
Barney is the Executive Director at Metro West Collaborative Development, which he joined in January 2026. Barney comes to the role with more than 30 years of municipal planning and affordable housing experience, most recently as Director of Planning for the City of Newton. Barney has a master’s degree in Community Planning from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire.

Sharone Small
Sharone is the Director of Real Estate at Metro West Collaborative Development, which she joined in 2022. Sharone has eight years of affordable housing development experience, including all stages of the development process. Before joining Metro West, Sharone worked at Urban Edge Housing Corporation, a Boston-based CDC, in the Real Estate Department. Sharone has master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from MIT.

Chelsea Gaylord
Chelsea is a Senior Real Estate Project Manager at Metro West Collaborative Development, which she joined in 2023. Chelsea has over eight years of community and economic development experience and has worked to help communities shape economic mobility and real estate development strategies. Chelsea has a master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa.
